Inkster Park Millwork Ltd. has a state of the art profile wrapping facility focused on producing exterior grade products for the fenestration industry. Polyurethane reactive glues (PUR) are used in conjunction with suitable films of vinyl or wood veneer to meet the product requirements of our customers.

Custom Profile Wrapping
Inkster Park Millwork Ltd. provides custom profile wrapping services to manufacturers of fenestration products located across North America. Examples of practical applications of this technology are: - Oak or Fir veneer profile wrapped onto a customer’s fibreglass window frame profiles. - Exterior grade vinyl film profile wrapped on pine door stiles for use in insulated steel doors.

Maintenance Free Vinyl Wrapped Door Frame Systems
Inkster Park Millwork Ltd. manufactures vinyl wrapped exterior door frame components marketed under the name ^®. Profiles such as door jamb, and brickmould, are packaged in lifts of unmachined lengths. This product line allows the fabricator to use their own sill and door panel system to create a unique product. The vinyl surface of the Ektacron System is intimately bonded to a structural core, eliminating any possibility of moisture collection between the vinyl and the substrate. Polyurethane Reactive Adhesives are applied using state-of-the-art profile wrapping technology. The resulting waterproof bond is able to withstand both the high and low temperature, extremes encountered in service. Complete Protection - The Ektacron System completely wraps all visible surfaces of the installed profile. This keeps the core protected from moisture and provides a maintenance free exterior. Improved Yields - The specially selected and milled substrate assures the product to be defect free. Compare these advantages - Components of the Ektacron System may be cut and machined using standard wood working equipment. No special welding equipment is required. Performance - The Ektacron System has preformed in weather conditions from driving rainstorms, to sleet and snow. Surface temperatures during on going field tests have ranged from -49 F to over 100 F. Additional tests were conducted at temperatures of over 212 F. In all cases, there was no unacceptable deterioration or breakdown of the vinyl or the adhesive products. Environmentally Responsible - The exterior rated Polyurethane Reactive Adhesives used to bond the vinyl to the substrate, are environmentally safe. Recognizing that vinyl is not manufactured from a renewable resource, we confine its use to that of surface protection, using far less vinyl than comparable extruded systems.

MAINTENANCE FREE
The ^®system, with its durable heavy gauge vinyl skin requires no painting or staining. Residential exterior door frames have traditionally been manufactured from solid or finger jointed wood. These, of course, require periodic painting.

SUPERIOR WEATHER AND MOISTURE PROTECTION
The vinyl surfaces on our system is intimately bonded to the Wood Core, eliminating any possibility of moisture collection between the vinyl and the wood.
Traditional "maintenance free" protection for a wood door frame as been the use of snap-on vinyl or aluminum cladding. These clad products are loose fitting. Moisture may collect under the cladding, presenting an opportunity for rot to occur.
In addition, with temperature changes, snap-on cladding will expand and contract at different rates than the wood core. This may cause buckling on expansion or leave gaps at the ends on contraction.

COMPLETE PROTECTION
The^®system completely wraps all visible surfaces of the installed frame. Snap-on claddings cover only the exterior portions, leaving the rabbet and inside edge of the frame unfinished, requiring painting or staining.

SUPERIOR STRENGTH AND RIGIDITY COMPARED TO HOLLOW EXTRUDED VINYL PROFILES
^® has superior strength and rigidity when compared to hollow extruded vinyl profiles. As well, no energy robbing metal stiffeners are required. Compare this to the hollow extruded vinyl profiles that have been introduced to the market.

ENVIRONMENTALLY RESPONSIBLE

Vinyl Wrapped on face and edges allows profiles to be ripped to width to yield two usable pieces. Easy to cut, means that it is infinitely adjustable to suit variances in wall thickness. Excellent nail holding ability for the attachment of casing. Comparable pricing to PVC extrusions. NOW ALSO AVAILABLE WITH A COST EFFECTIVE COMPOSITE CORE.

Our composite core is a very environmentally friendly substrate produced from a special blend of resins (formaldehyde-free polyurethane resin), and moisture resistant wood fibres.
